The Gift that lasts forever.
Jesus
"For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
God gave us this free gift so that we could have
eternal life (salvation).
Jesus said: " I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me" ( John 14:6)
Trust Jesus Christ today! Here's what you
must do:
1. Admit you are a
sinner.
"For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)
"Wherefore as by one man sin
entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed
upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Romans
5:12)
"If we say that we have not sinned,
we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
(1 John 1:10)
2. Be willing to turn from sin (repent).
Jesus said: "I tell you, Nay: but,
except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
(Luke 13:5)
"And the times of this ignorance
God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to
repent:" (Acts 17:30)
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and
raised from the dead.
"For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)
"But God commendeth his love toward
us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
(Romans 5:8)
"That if thou shalt confess with
they mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from the dead, though shalt be
saved." (Romans 10:9)
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your
personal Savior.
"For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation." (Romans 10:10)
"for whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
What to pray:
Heavenly Father,
I know that my sins have
kept me separated from you. I am sorry and I am asking you
to forgive me. I want to turn from my sinful life, and
invite Jesus into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Please
send Your Holy Spirit to help me do your will. In Jesus
name. Amen.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is
a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things
are become new." (II Corinthians 5:17)
If you have received Jesus Christ as
your Saviour, you should:
-
Read the Bible daily. It's
nourishing for the soul. (Joshua 1:8)
-
Have Faith - It's hard to have faith
sometimes. But when you have faith it's telling God, I trust
You. (Hebrews, Chapter 11)
-
Pray to God constantly. He
will hear you and answer you, too. (I Thessalonians 5:17)
-
Evangelize - Talk about Jesus to family
members, friends and co-workers. The more you talk
about Him, the more authentic He becomes. (Mathew 28:19, 20)
-
Be prepared for warfare - When you give Jesus your life,
you step into the heat of a battle. You have a
three-fold enemy - the world, the flesh, and the devil.
You just praise the Lord, and continue on your journey of
salvation. Jesus knows what you are going through.
He will be there to help you. (2 Corinthians 10:3-7)
-
Fellowship - Pray to God about where you
should fellowship. he will lead you some place where
the Word of God is being preached and taught. (1 John 1:7)
-
Be Baptized - Baptism is announcing to the
world that you have decided to turn from your sins and
follow Jesus. Be immersed under water when you are
baptized. (Mark 16:16)
-
Tithe - Give back to God what is His.
Whatever income you have, give God His ten percent (10%)That
will leave you with ninety percent (90%). It's very
important that you give God His 10% (Malachi 3:10)
